The Social History Society is open to professional scholars, students and all those interested in social history in its widest possible application. Membership confers a number of benefits: • the opportunity to receive Cultural and Social History, the journal of the Social History Society (four issues per annum) • access to useful information via the Society’s website • regular emails featuring news, calls for papers for the Society’s annual conference, and other conferences of interest
Cultural and Social History is a peer-reviewed journal that also features a regular debate forum and postgraduate review essays.
SUBSCRIPTION RATES
The current subscription rate is £40 a year (UK Postgraduates £15). Students must send with their membership form a letter with a university stamp, certifying their postgraduate status.

However, we must stress that individual membership is not available to individuals giving institutional libraries as their address. Associate membership of the Society, can be gained by institutions via subscription to Cultural and Social History on application to Berg, our publishers.
